This week students are creating flowers by using tissue paper and pipe cleaners to be hung off of their spring tree outside the classroom! They look awesome!

This week and next week we are flipping assignments... for the next two weeks kinders will be working on the following projects!
Objective: Students will be able to name types of lines and colors. Activity: Students will be able to trace a circle, cut out petals, leaves and a stem and put together a flower using the papers we created last week. Assessment: Effort, completion Objective: Students will be able to create a "self portrait" for a school-wide mural. Activity: Students will be able to trace their hands, cut them out and draw and color pictures that tell about themselves. Assessment: Effort, completion Objective: Students will be able to name different types of lines. Students will be able to use tempera paint.
Activity: Students will first be read "The Tiny Seed" by Eric Carle and will look at the paper that he uses to create his illustrations/collages. Students will then create a green piece of paper to use as the stem and leaves of the flower they will be making. Assessment: Completion, effort. |
